International payment

Dear customer,

When people order one or more books in my shop, they receive an automatically-originated reply in their mailbox. This contains information about how to pay.
However, sometimes I receive an order from another country and sometimes people first ask how payment from abroad is organized.
My answer is: it is possible to pay by bank and I give you in my mail-reply the extra information about my bankaccount that you need (BIC and IBAN)
But it is also possible to pay with paypal. If you choose this method, I then send you my paypal-adress.

I have sent quite a few parcels to other countries now and I enjoyed contact by mail with you. Usually you let me know when a parcel has arrived and then we are both happy. And usually I thank you for your interest in our Dutch patternbooks. I really like it that you appreciate our Dutch heritage also!

The Mies Bloch Kruissteekboek is a well-loved book that I have sold several times to ladies in other coutries. For this blogpost I used a photo that I took a few months ago.  At that time I had the privilage of sending two envelopes with a few of these books to Japan at the same day, which of course was quite unusual. I kept looking for extra copies of these books and was happy to be able to purchase some other copies. Today these newer books were all ordered as well. So to other ladies from abroad who are hoping that I have some more of these books in my shop: I keep looking for them!

En nog één alinea in het Nederlands: Het allermooiste patroon uit en op deze patronenmap vind ik zelf het Amsterdam-patroon. Toen ik dit patroon zag op mijn zeventiende wist ik gelijk: Dàt wil ik maken! En dat deed ik ook. Hier blogde ik daarover, en dat blogje werd gelezen door iemand (uit Nederland dit keer) die op zoek was naar dit patroon. Ik had nog één los patroon in m’n shop en daar kon ik haar mee blij maken. Ze mailde me net: “Ik zag een aantal geborduurde exemplaren in het stadsarchief in Amsterdam en dacht gelijk die wil ik ook en jij hebt het patroon! Geweldig!”
Voor mij (en jullie) leuk om te weten dat deze borduurwerken dus in het stadsarchief van Amsterdam liggen. Ik sluit me aan bij de slotopmerking van de besteller: Geweldig! Want ik deel graag mijn enthousiasme voor dit prachtige ontwerp met anderen! In binnen- en buitenland dus.
